Oh hey. Deviant Art. I am sorry you have sat here, forgotten. Well, not forgotten. But I mean, I just don't think I have anything worth sharing anymore D: Still working on the comics stuff, but along with working a hectic day job, I just don't feel much like sitting down and drawing stuff for myself anymore. This is a sad story. I'm going to try to get over it. I won't be butt hurt if you take me off your watch lists or anything, but I honestly couldn't tell you when I'll be uploading art here again. If anything I'll probably come back to announce when my book is out... and I have another fun project I'll probably announce here soon. So there's that.

You may also have noticed I removed a lot of old stuff from my gallery that I was pretty much tired of looking at.

I'll be going to a few cons this year, but most likely wont have a table at most of them because what the hell would I sell? 8|
OH, but if you're in the Atlanta area, I'll be doing sketches and selling minis and stuff at Criminal Records for Free Comic Book Day (May 7), so that's cool.

I'm a bit late, but thanks to everyone that stopped by and said hi at AWA!  It was so great seeing and meeting so many of you!  Despite the AA being slow as crap this year, I had a lot of fun hanging out with a lot of great friends.  I'm hoping next summer I'll start making it to even more cons, as I'll be done with my BFA by then (and with any luck, I'll be going around promoting the Oni Book as well).  If you have any con suggestions, do let me know!  Otherwise, the next con I'll be at will probably be Momocon, which is also here in Atlanta.

I've added another comic project to my plate recently too, so my plate is definitely full right now, but I do want to link to SCAD-Atlantas comic blog real fast, where I just did an interview Check it out!

But boy has dA changed a lot lately (or maybe it changed a while ago and I've been AWOL too long to notice until now :C).  I hardly know what to do here anymore D: It doesn't help that I don't really have a whole lot to submit right now either :[ But I do have news!

Right now I'm working on a graphic novel for Oni Press, called 'Confessions of a Virgin Sacrifice'.  Most of my time/energy is focused on that project right now, which is why I've got no other art to show for myself XD;  Doing a whole 180 page book is a crazy learning experience, but the story, written by Adrianne Ambrose, is completely awesome and really fun, and I can't wait until it's done and I can share it with everyone.

HeroesCon went ... interestingly.  It was my first convention as a 'professional' guest, but it's hard for me to find a place in a primarily super hero comic type of scene, lol.  I'll probably be much more comfortable when I return to AWA this year.  Now I'm scrambling to get some more art done for THAT con.  I'm starting to realize how long it's been since I've done fanart D: (After HP ended, nothing else really inspired or motivated me to do fanart, sadly.  And I dont like posting too much original art!  Ach!) I'm also going to aim to have a 10 page mini comic to have at the con, as well as a brand new batch of buttons!  So please come say hi and buy stuff because oh god I'm living the life of a starving artist right now :[ (Did I mention I got laid off from my day job at a Bakery?  Good times)

It was just an all around downer sort of day today.  But I got a lot of sketching done at least--I feel like these days the majority of art I have time to do is mostly thumbnails/sketches or character designs.
I haven't had time to sit down and do a proper illustration in an insanely long time, which is starting to stress me out as con season is fast approaching.  I don't go to a whole lot but for sure  I'll be doing HeroesCon with a bunch of SCAD ATL people so I dont really have to do a lot of fanart for that one, but I'll have a table at AWA again and I have no idea what the kids are into these days : Is the Narutos still popular?  How about the Bleaches?  IDEK.  The only manga I read consistently anymore is Bakuman and Reborn D:
I did do a couple of nice DOGs sketches today though... maybe I'll be able to finish those up soon to post....
